We went along to the opening of the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair last night to judge the prize for best stand.
The competition was fierce, with a very high standard of work on display and some very creative exhibitions. You can find a selection of images on our Indie Quarter blog at www.indiequarter.com.
Congratulations to our winner, Wolfram Lohr. We loved that his stand was set out as a workshop, complete with crates, shelving and a workbench.
Richard Hudson, who presented the prize, said, “Congratulations to Wolfram for a fantastic stall. We were immediately drawn to his work by the striking display and the wonderful leather smell.”
The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair is now open to the public until Sunday 24th October. The calibre of work is extremely high and it is definitely worth a visit.
I of course couldn’t resist a little purchase.
